Coaching is defined as helping people achieve their goals. Coaching specializes in helping people who are goal-oriented and
ready to grow quickly. The primary goal is to help clients become organized in their lives in order to pursue specific goals.
Coaching is different from therapy in that in therapy, the therapist’s role is to assist the client in developing insight into internal blocks and helping them to overcome. In coaching, the coach motivates the client to overcome blocks and set and achieve goals.
A personal coach helps the client to develop structure,
in order to map out well defined goals and steps to arrive at the desired destination. Along the way, the coach works to support
and encourage the client. Some of the steps to coaching include:
